Small businesses, already hit hard by the fiscal instability of the last several years, are being forced to make tough choices to keep their doors open. 

Illinois residents feel the squeeze financially, yet the career politicians in Springfield seem oblivious to their struggles. Their tax-and-spend approach has inflated state budgets and earned Illinois the unenviable title of the nation's least tax-friendly state. 

In Springfield, Crystal will be a relentless advocate for Illinois families, fighting for tax cuts to ease their burden. She will work to rein in state spending and streamline government operations to ensure taxpayer money is used efficiently. Crystal will champion policies that support families and promote economic prosperity for all.

Safe Streets

Everyone deserves to feel secure in their home, but crime rates in Northern Illinois and across the state have soared in recent years. Instead of addressing the issue directly, politicians in Springfield have turned to dangerous "catch and release" policies that prioritize the rights of criminals over your family's safety. Simultaneously, they've made it harder and more dangerous for police officers to do their jobs and protect our families. 

Crystal recognizes that safe communities depend on holding criminals accountable and backing law enforcement. In the Illinois Senate, she will push to reverse lenient crime policies that jeopardize our safety. She will advocate for laws that hold criminals accountable and support our law enforcement officers.

Empower Parents & Improve Education

As a mother of four, Crystal understands that parents, not politicians in Springfield, are best equipped to make decisions regarding their children's education. When parents are empowered to choose the educational path that aligns with their values and goals, children are more likely to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Having served on the board of Rock Valley College since 2021, Crystal has seen firsthand the value of a good education and the huge impact vocational education can have on a person's life. In the Senate, she will advocate for these critical programs.

As a small business owner, Crystal knows how critical it is to invest in job creation. Supporting our state's businesses is the best way to create jobs and build strong communities. Crystal built her business from the ground up and knows what it takes to get results. 

She will bring a unique perspective to the Illinois Senate and be a vocal advocate for all job creators, large and small, to make Illinois a state that encourages entrepreneurship, rewards innovation, and creates opportunity.
